A Wier resident sentenced for stealing nearly $240-thousand dollars from the Citizens Bank of Weir. 59-year old Marlane Thompson had worked at the bank for more than 40 years when she got in too deep at Buffalo Run Casino in Miami. Bank officialssay she wrote herself loans and "force cleared" checks to herself to cover her losses. Thompson will serve 3 years probation and repay all the money that was stolen.
