Freeman to Conduct Blood Drive for Tornado Victims

The blood drive will be hosted at Freeman Heart & Vascular Institute, Conference Rooms A and B, 1102 West 32nd Street in Joplin on  Monday, May 19th from 10-4.

People who are 17 or older, weigh at least 110 pounds, and have not given blood in the past eight weeks are encouraged to participate in the blood drive. Donating blood takes less than one hour and can save up to three lives.

It takes approximately 275 blood donations each day to meet the regular needs of local patients. With the recent tornado, the need for blood has increased.

Do you think Republican presidential candidate John McCain will announce his choice of running mate this week?

No. I think he'll wait until closer to the Republican national convention.
  He needs help now!
